Pootles Blog Hop – My Merry Patterns

WELL HELLO THERE! If you have joined me today from the Pootles Blog hop, let me just say Welcome! I hope you are having a great time pootling through all of our blog posts… (ha! See what I did there?! ?)

Pop the kettle on, put your feet up and relax, the team have as always brought home the goodies! So lets get to what I threw together, for some super simple Christmas cards, because lets face it, when you have a busy life, and all of a sudden you realise its a fortnight till Christmas and you haven’t made a card yet but require 50, simple is the way to go! (yes, yes I know its only September, but we all say we will be prepared for Christmas earlier next year… then boom! All of a sudden its Christmas eve and a lot of us are still frantically throwing presents into wrapping paper, or juggling the kids, a shopping trolley and trying not to get trolley rage whilst racing to the aisle where the Turkeys should be…. oh? That’s just me? Hmmm.. ? well I digress..)

Card One…

Card Base: Using Old Olive 12″ x 12″, I cut off a strip of 3″. Then cut that into 2x 6″ x 3″ (scored at 3″) for some super cute 3″ x 3″ cards that will fit the brand new, and rather cute, 3×3 whisper white envelopes!

Background: is stamped with the Marbled background stamp and soft sky ink.

Foreground: I have used that stamp set everyone is raving about and chomping at the bit to get in the latest host promotion! Merry Patterns! *insert fanfare music here* this set is just yummy! I mean who couldnt love that Reindeer in a christmas jumper?! And to make you drool even more, check out the promotion details at the bottom of this post when you are done!

Reindeer stamped in Fresh fig ink

Sentiment stamped in Wysteria Wonder ink

Sprigs stamped in Tranquil Tide ink

Construction: I have used my wink of stella to add some seasonal sparkle to my base card, it makes it look ever so pretty! Foam adhesive strips to give my card front a little boost of dimention (you could use dimentionals if you prefer)

Card Two…

Card Base: Its that gorgeous Old olive again, the second piece that was left over from the first card base.

Topper: Reindeers stamped in Fresh fig ink, Sprigs are stamped in Tranquil tide and Wild Wasabi, Sentiment in Wisteria wonder.

Fast fuse to glue that topper to your base, a splash of wink of stella to add that Christmas cheer and you are done!

It was lovely having you here, come back and visit soon!
