Well Hello There
Thank you for joining me today, if you have just popped in from Sam’s aka Pootles blog then hello and a very warm welcome, its lovely to see you
I have the utmost privilage to have been selected for Novembers Design Team and I am over the moon
Our wonderful upline sam has sent us out a fabulous stamp set THE LITTLE THINGS to work with this month and its going to be hard just choosing ONE project for each blog post as it is SO versatile
So without further ado, I know its late for Halloween but I made up this SUPER cute goodie bag for my daughter’s Halloween treats and used one of the sentiments from this set on it….
I stamped it with Basic Black Ink, onto Whisper White cardstock, punched it out with the Starburst Punch and using a finger dauber I used Wild Wasabi Ink around the edge, followed by some basic black to give it some depth. Some wink of stella glitter pen adds a little glitz and glam to this witches bag
I used the witches hat stamp from the Spooky Cat stamp set, stamped in black and fussy cut out, I used that dauber again to colour in the buckle and wink of stella to glam it up.
I punched a two-inch circle out of the green striped foiled frenzy cardstock, inked the edge in black to match, and glued them all together used TOMBOW MONO glue.
A little length of those GORGEOUS Shiny black sequins in THE MINI SEQUIN TRIM and used TOMBOW MONO again to stick those down as a loop.
For the bag I used Merry Little Christmas DSP Designer Series Paper measuring Ten by twelve inches.
Popping it on my Simply scored board, long side first, I have scored it at half-inch, five inches, seven inches and eleven and a half inches. Flip it around and on the short side score at TWO inches and EIGHT inches.
Burnish those score lines, and on the short side facing up you want to pop some fast fuse or snail along the very top and fold back that edge to give you a rim, spin your card and do the same for the other side. Grab some scissors and cut the edges where you scored at the Five inch and seven-inch lines to the first score line only, now you can assemble your bag, pop some glue on the tabs, I used fast fuse for mine as it sticks well, and fold one flap in, now pop some of the same adhesive on the other flap and glue that side down too.
I cut a length of the Vintage Crochet trim for wrapping around the bag just under the rim which I glued down using the fine tip glue pen, and cut some lengths of the same trim for handles.
I hope you like it
